Josep Miàs has been made an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). This is one of the most important gestures of recognition that the American organization gives international professionals for exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society. This year, along with Miàs, the fellowship was granted to Héctor Esrawe. Previous Spanish recipients of the accolade are Rafael Moneo, Alberto Campo Baeza, Enrique Sobejano, Fuensanta Nieto, and Francisco Mangado. The awards gala will be held on 7 June in Washington, D.C.
